If you haven’t been to the Jurassic coast, we hope this tribute to the historic Dorset seaboard might tempt you.
Our Spring Picturebook explored some of the area’s famed spots on a day that had it all. Some apricity in the late March sunshine - as winter yields to spring – ensured we could show off our warmer weather pieces. But a stiff breeze in the more exposed spots meant we could also make good use of our Midweight Railway Jackets. A midseason melange of lighter linens amongst their sturdier canvas cousins.
Forging through a stubborn morning fog, we headed over to the Isle of Purbeck on the chain ferry, arriving at Studland Bay just as the sun finally broke through. We then meandered down the coast before turning inland and finishing our day beneath the ramparts of the medieval 11th century Corfe Castle.
