Paris is just about the best European weekend city break going. And we’ll argue that over as many espressos as we can collectively handle. A moveable feast, with new layers of the city revealing themselves around every corner.
It’s also where, 12 years ago, Callum found a linen shirt that sowed the seeds for starting Original Fibres. What better place to showcase our most extensive Spring Collection to date? A midseason marriage of savoury and sweet, with Cinnamon brown and Burnt Orange captured alongside Olive and Sandalwood.
Starting in the 10th arrondissement, we worked our way up to Montmartre for an early morning stroll before the crowds descended on the hilltop village’s famous cobbled streets. Meandering down to Canal Saint-Martin, we drifted through streets lined with independent purveyors of Parisian charm, stopping to watch the world go by at a typical French bistro for lunch.
The historic avenues of Île Saint-Louis and the Latin Quarter beckoned us after lunch. Spirits couldn’t be dampened by the arrival of a late afternoon squall – bien sur, c’est le printemps. Sun, rain, wind, and damp cobbles. It was a great day to show off linen’s versatility as a mid-season fabric – layered and on its own – across a range of products and styles.
